The TREC REI 7-6 is the official Texas inspection form for real estate inspections. Here is how to fill one out in InspectorData.
From your dashboard, open View Reports - every inspection you have scheduled lives here.
Find the job, click Start Inspection, and pick Other Templates from the menu.
TREC REI 7-6 is right at the top. Click it and the form opens, pre-loaded with your client name, address, and inspection date.
Your TREC license number auto-fills from your Business Profile, so you enter it once.
A completion gauge tracks every rated item, comments needed, and multi-box explanations, so you know exactly what is left before you finalize.
Click any flagged issue and the form jumps you straight to it.
Every item is marked Inspected, Not Inspected, Not Present, or Deficient - the exact four checkboxes TREC requires, in the exact order TREC publishes them.
On the left, the Photos rail groups every job photo by section, and each section suggests the photos that fit it - tap Add all to attach them in one click.
Start typing a comment and the Comment Library opens on the right. Search your saved comments, then click one to drop it straight into the section.
Prefer to talk? Tap the microphone and your speech is transcribed right into the comment box.
Preview the client deliverable, then finalize to lock the report and generate the official PDF.
